Abstract

Abstract. The article examines the philosophical foundations of humane pedagogy, starting with ancient Eastern traditions and ending with modern humanistic approaches.
The ideas of Confucius, Buddha, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, as well as the New European philosophers Rousseau and representatives of the 20th century are analyzed. It is emphasized that humane pedagogy is based on philosophical ideas about the value of personality, respect, freedom and love as the main foundations of education.
